OUR CAPABILITIES | ||
As a small business that is commited to client service and satisfaction, we specialize in providing value added marine systems services. We do consulting and and provide professional marine electrical service and prevention and control of marine corrosion. We provide marine businesses and vessel owners with solutions to all kinds of vessel electrical system problems, from simple to complex. Our work includes AC and DC electrical systems, marine electronics, generators, engine electrical systems and marine corrosion control systems. Our experience lets us identify the cause of marine system problems and failures and provide owners with solutions to these problems. To better serve our clients we have started to provide, on a fixed price basis, marine electrical inspections/surveys of vessels. These technical surveys identify for the owner both problems and solution possibilities. Additionally we regularly handle troubleshooting and service jobs. These include both modest and complex projects ranging from upgrading an older boat with new batteries to completely rewiring and replacing all electrical system components on large yachts. Use of mobile service facilities, and advanced test equipment permits us to quickly respond to client requirements and bring complete service capabilities from our shop to the client's vessel. This capability combined with our expertise lets us meet client needs quickly and at competitive prices. The company owner, Jim Bonnett, who has over 30 years experience in the marine service field, is found out on the job not sitting in the office. He has worked as a marine electrical and corrosion consultant, technician and marine mechanic. His experience includes working with all types of marine systems, including planning, design, installation, refits, trouble shooting, and providing support and maintenance on new and older boats of all sizes and types. Jim is certified by the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) as a "Master Technician" and is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). Additionally he is a trained marine fire and explosion investigator and while not actively pursuing this work the knowledge helps us quickly identify possible problem areas on vessels and develop solutions. In addition to his hands-on experience, Jim has an Associate in Science Degree in Marine Propulsion with certificates in marine diesel and gasoline engine technology. He was one of the first 25 technicians to receive American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) Technician certification. He currently holds ABYC Marine Electrical, Marine Corrosion and Systems Technician certification. He is also a National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Corrosion Technician and is certified by the National Marine Electronic Association (NMEA) as an Advanced Marine Electronics Installer. This experience combined with his knowledge of standards
and code requirements established by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC),
National Marine Electronic Association (NMEA), US Coast Guard and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) lets us make sure that these standards are followed or exceded in doing your work. | ||
